A: Chromium is a nutrient that may help support healthy body composition and metabolism and help maintain a healthy blood sugar level already within a normal range. These new formulas include a higher dose of chromium (1000 mcg chromium picolinate) based on the efficacy of dosages used in clinical studies. These studies have not reported adverse effects associated with this dosage of chromium picolinate intake, indicating its safety in humans. Additionally, there is no upper limit established for chromium based on existing data for this nutrient.
